BoomPaTum performed at the TomTom Festival Block Party

On Friday, April 18th, 8-9p.m. We’ll opened a circle on the Charlottesville downtown mall on the corner of Rapture Restaurant.

This performance explored the Afro-Latin roots of genres like tumba, bullerengue, and salsa, creating a space to experience our inner warrior side with MaculelĂȘ and recovering the passion of Samba de Roda, originating from Bahia, Brazil.

Thank you everyone who came out to dance and sing and and have fun with us,! This immerse Boompatum experience embraces a new way of being together that strengthens community, with the ancient practice of the co-creative.

Boompatum is a multicultural art collective that offers live art through circle work. The group began as a group of friends who got together to play music. It continues as a way to gather and create music together in a circle. The doors are open to those who want to join!
