To engage communities in expressive art circles

Liberation Arts is the culture of education through creative group experiences

Liberation Arts teaches philosophies and creative practices that generate individual and group freedom. These are experienced in workshops, classes, parties, ceremonies, rituals, discussions, debates, and more.

An important form of Liberation Arts is an expressive arts group activity called The Circle.  The circle’s norms and structure replicate our experiences in the larger world. It has the power to change people and communities.

A Liberation Arts Circle is a ceremony of rhythm and song in which a topic or theme centers a volley of improvisational concepts combined with choreography. We experience the pendulum swing between two sides of a subject and seek to gain perspective on our points of view and to find common ground on personal, social, and political issues.
